We encountered a problem with this Siegenia Wooden Lift and Slide Door in Brixton.
Our clients not only had an issue with opening the door, it was the only access to the back garden. In order to investigate we were going to have to access the door via the next door neighbour and a high fence.
On a Wooden Lift and Slide Door, the handle should be in the upwards position for locking. When the handle is turned downwards this should lift the door up and release the locking mechanism and push wheels out to allow the door to slide along.
Unfortunately this door is sticking half way, the wheels are not moving and the locks are engaged.
In order to repair we will remove the glass from the to access the locking mechanism.
More of these door types can be seen over on Facebook.
